Program desciption:

Day 1: We are waiting for you in Sibiu, for dinner. Former Cultural Capital of Europe in 2007, this wonderful saxon town exhale aristocratic elegance. Sibiu have the country’s first hospital (1292), pharmacy (1494) and the oldest art museum (Brukenthal), opened in 1817. Steeped in history, Sibiu represent the perfect blend between eyelid-shaped windows, spectacular facades and old churches!  Overnight and dinner in Sibiu (3* pension). During the dinner, we’ll give you all the details about next day program.
*If you choose the transfer from airport or other program with us, we’ll set the hour of meeting together.

Day 2: After breakfast, the tour starts with Hunedoara (130 km, about 2 hours driving), were we will discover one remarcable gothic renaissance castle, known as Hunyadi Castle. Built as a prison and fortress, the castle was also the home of the brightest king of medieval Hungary, Matia Corvin. After lunch, we will have a nice evening walking through Sibiu. Dinner and accommodation in Sibiu.

Day 3: After breakfast we will discover Biertan (70 km, about 1 hour driving), were we can find one of the most well known fortified churches  in Transylvania. Coloured houses and idyllic landscapes surround this beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour continue with Sighisoara (30 km, about 30 minutes driving), where the medieval towers, fortified walls and stony paths of the Unesco-protected old town reminds of Vlad Tepes also known as Count Dracula! In our way to Brasov will visit Viscri, a small fairy tale village who stole Prince Charles heart. The narrow streets and the blue and green houses are inviting you to discover Viscri fortified church, famous for its white washed walls and red-roofed tower, included in UNESCO’s Patrimony. We continue the tour to Brasov (90 km, about 90 minutes driving). Lunch. Overnight and dinnner in Brasov (3*hotel).
*The 7th largest city in Romania, Brasov is located in Transylvania amidst the Carpathian Mountains. A city of traditions and vivant homes, full of color, taste and aroma, Brasov does not disappoint when it comes to adapting to the new.

Day 4: Today's trip will bring Peles Castle, a neo-Renaissance masterpiece built for Romania’s first king, Carol I. Its 168 rooms are adorned with the finest examples of European art like Gustav Klimt painting, Murano crystal chandeliers, German stained-glass windows and Cordoba leather-covered walls. We also have the chance to visit the neighbouring Pelisor Castle, a smaller royal residence decked out in art nouveau finery. Our second stop is Bran Castle, the Transylvanian castle that inspired the Dracula legend. The connection between the character in the novel and Prince Vlad the Impaler – Dracula suggested by Bram Stoker in his book “… was it really that prince Dracula who opposed the Turks over the great river, even from the border with Turkey”. We drive about 30 minutes to Rasnov, situated among the stunning Bucegi Mountains. Rasnov Fortress dates back over 700 years and has a long history as a successful strategic defense point. Overnight and dinnner in Brasov (3*hotel).

Day 5: Early in the morning, after breakfast we depart by bus for Tulcea, the main gate to the Danube Delta (500 km – about 7 hours driving). We make a stop for a quick lunch.
At 16:00 hour, we meet the local partner and embark you for the transfer to Mila 23, small fishing village. We will travel along canals through one of the most beautiful parts on Danube Delta; Canal 36, Sireasa Channel, Sontea Channel, Olguta Canal, Old Danube Canal and Mila 23 Village. Overnight and traditional fish dinnner in Milla 23 3*.

The Danube Delta, included on Unesco’s World Heritage list, it’s the largest continuous “marsh” in Europe and the second largest delta (Volga being the first), and the home for more than 300 hunderd species of birds.

Day 6: After the breakfast (8:30), we leave Mila 23 for the surrounding lakes on 2 tours, each about 4 hours long, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Depending on Danube water level and on updated information on where large groups of birds are feeding, we choose the best route for each day.
At 13:30 hours, we return at the resort for lunch and for a short rest, then with 4 hours before sunset, we leave on a different route Overnight and traditional fish dinnner in Milla 23 3*.

Day 7: After the breakfast (8:30), we depart by boat to Letea, through a labyrinth of narrow waterways and passing a great variety of wildlife (9:30). From there, we travel to Letea Forest by car. We will visit some local attractions, walk in the fine sand then head back to the boat and to Mila 23 resort. We have a lunch in a very beautiful local home with local food. Overnight and traditional fish dinnner in Milla 23 3*.

Day 8: After breakfast, water transfer an than bus transfer back to Bucharest, following the same route. Our program is ending in Tulcea.
